How to generate the files .fpgaconfig?

Solved!
Go to solution

In a file (.vi) with FPGA items, I press 'run' and I do according to the hints, a file with extension 'lvbits' is generated. However, I don't know how to generate the file with extension 'fpgaconfig'. It is appreciated if someone can tell me. Thanks!

Hi kanemo,

However, I don't know how to generate the file with extension 'fpgaconfig'.

What do you need such a file for?

I use LabVIEW-FPGA for several years and never needed any "fpgaconfig" file…

Best regards,
GerdW

https://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/NI-PXIe-7820R-fpgaconfig-and-lvbitx-file-are-missing/m-p/3876118

You can see this web page and what I am going to do is similar with him. And you will notice there are files with extension 'lvbits' and 'fpgaconfig'.

Yes. So you mean that these files come from Veristand but not labview? But I do get the file with extension 'lvbits' after I run the .vi file and compile it .

Hi kanemo,

I guess so. As said before: I never needed/saw any "fpgaconfig" files in LabVIEW…

But I do get the file with extension 'lvbits' after I run the .vi file and compile it .

Yes, that's what LabVIEW does: create a lvbits file for the FPGA…

Maybe you should ask in a VeriStand forum?
Best regards,
GerdW
