How to do a non linear model?

Hello,
I'm  working on non linearity and my boss wants me to modelize a non linear system. But as a consequence I have to play with string arrays and dbl arrays. I have to insert a dbl signal into a string array and make the sum of this signal and one of the components of the array (formal calculus). Could you help me please, because I don't know how to do this.
