How to demodulate a .wav file modulated with 8-PSK

I currently have an automated test that decodes a modem output using a Vector Signal Analyzer. The modem outputs an 8-PSK signal modulated onto a 1800 Hz carrier at a rate of 2400 symbols/second. It uses a raised root cosine filter with alpha equal to .5 and outputs a sync sequence of 111100011000101. I want to develop an automated test that can do the same thing, but without the vector signal analyzer because of how slow it is and some of its limitations. I am able to record the modem output into my sound car and save it as a .wav file. From there I am unsure of how to go about demodulating the signal, I tried to modify the PSK Transceiver example, but without any luck. Any help concerning this would be a great help.
