How to change a text in an icon prorgrammatically

Hi,

I've got some VIs that have a text in common in their icons but I would like to change that text because I'm going to use that VIs in another part of the project. So, how can I change that text programmatically in all VIs that are in the same directory?.

I know it's possible because in the GOOP Developer program they do.

Thanks,

You need to use 2 VI class methods - Get VI Icon... and Set VI Icon...

These 2 methods allow you to work with the icon as an image using LV's picture control VIs, which will also allow you to put text into the picture.

Thanks tst for answering.

I've found some VIs that can help me in NI, OpenG and LAVA forums. If anybody needs more information, can ask me in javier.depablos@systematic9000.com

Hi noxus,

You are right.  It's very important to post the solutionts in order to other people with the same problem can resolve it without to put in contact with me.

Sorry, but I'm quite busy with I project I must to have finished in September and it was easier not to post the links.  Sorry, again.

Here you've got the links to the topics of the forums.

Javier,

pleae do not cross-post. The people reading LAVA  (which are close tied to OpenG.org) are (almost everyone) reading NI Forums.
And if you cross-post, link in the first place the corresponding discussions.

Actually, most LAVA contributors (not readers) generally stay away from the NI forums (at least the LV board) because there are too many posts and most of them are not very interesting.

Cross posting is legitimate, but only if you're either pressed for time or did not receive an answer on the other forum. In any case, any cross posting should include a link to the other thread.
