How to Select LabVIEW Flavour

I wanted to control RF Signal Generators, having GPIB interface, which gives their output to RF Antenna under test, Results from RF antenna are to be captured on serial interface.  As RF control signals  are to be applied and results are to be captured on serial there will be time-criticality on control and capture software modules. Which LabVIEW flavour will be suitable for such Measurement and control application.
I am confused with LabVIEW Full, Professional and LabVIEW RT, LabVIEW Embedded etc. Please guide me in selecting LabVIEW Flavour and also which OS/platform should be used (eLinux, Linux, Windows)

We re using LabVIEW Professional Development System with Windows XP SP2.

They are quite good on giving recommendations once they talked with you on your exact needs...

Thanks for your valuable suggetion, I had thought abt this option, but i ignored it under assuption that the Local NI representative will be a Marketing only person...but as you had good Exp. i will aslo try to meet them. Thanks once again
