How much necessary to have sandy bridge architecture for RT PC in LV 2011+

I want to create a reat time PC terget . i am having development platform Hp  probook 4520s which is not having sandy bridge archetecture. i m using LV 2011+.Can this create some problem in the setup or perfromance. ? how much necessary it is to have that requirement met?

As far as I know, that processor is not supported with this RT version, that is the National Instruments recommendation, and actually they recommend using a desktop computer and not a laptop. One workaround could be using LabVIEW RT 2010 instead of the 2011, since LVRT 2010 support Intel Core i3, i5, i7 without sandy bridge technology.

 

My personal position is that you can test it; personally I don't think this is a big deal, you can always try to use it and if it doesn't work, it won’t hurt anyone.

The processor requirement is less of an issue - LabVIEW Real-Time can work on just about any Intel or AMD based x86 processor Pentium-4 class or better.  There are exceptions, but they're real corner-cases.  

 

The biggest issue you face is network hardware - LabVIEW Real-Time is really picky about its network hardware, mainly because the OS under the hood only has a limited set of network drivers.  Broadcom, RealTek, Ralink, and Atheros chips (the 4 most commonly used in HP laptops) are NOT SUPPORTED.  Pretty much only Intel Pro/100 and Intel Pro/1000 network chips are supported.  There are VERY FEW laptops that meet this requirement, and it's pretty much impossible to add a supported device to a laptop.
