How many times a word appears in a text?

The tricky part is unambiguously defining what a word is.  Suppose you encounter " Page-2 "; is that:

• One word "Page-2"
• Two words "Page" and "2"
• One word "Page", with both the "-", and "2" considered delimiters.

You might want special treatment for "-" followed by linefeed, because it might split a word (not implemented).
