How fast can Serial go with LabVIEW?

I found an interesting problem with the FTDI drivers on the newer fast chip sets.  They have two drivers.  The first is a VCP (virtual comm port) and a D2 driver (allows talking directly to the dll).

In order to get it to work, I had to download and link the FTDI chip to the D2 version.  You can still talk to it like a VCP, but it works better and faster.  I am not having any problems talking 3 meg.
