How do you switch between web server snapshot jpg and png modes?

I'm sorry; you're right about embedded mode requiring the Run-Time Engine to be installed.  I didn't think about that.  The other possible workaround listed with this Known Issue is using an http server to host an image of the front panel that you continuously update.  You could also use Web Services, which would be the most robust way of letting someone view and possibly manipulate information about your VI.
