How do I see a complete list of built-in Units and how would I create new units?

Hi,

Under Help, Select the Index Tab and type in unit. A List of Unit names will be displayed.

It also depends which Version of LabVIEW you are using.

LabVIEW 5.1.1
Place a control on the front panel. Select this control. Select from the Edit menu, Edit Control... On the Control Panel now displayed. If the units label is not displayed, then select the control and right mouse click, select Show, Unit Label. Now with the Label showing, select the label and right mouse click, select Unit.., a dialog will be display giving you all the available units. This dialog will also allow you to create new units.


LabVIEW 6.0, I believe you need to right mouse click on the control and find the properties of the control.

Hi,

For LabVIEW 5.1.1, I am in error with the statement "This dialog will also allow you to create new units."

With this version of LabVIEW it looks like you are stuck with those units available and cannot create new ones.
