How do I generate a daqmx device list directly in LabView?

MAX has the nice feature that it automatically detects all connected devices, and generates a list of them.

I'd like to generate a list like this (of all connected device names, perhaps an array of strings) directly in LabVIEW (8.2.1) without requiring the user to look at MAX first. I figure that if MAX can do it, so can LabVIEW.

Has anyone done this?
