How counter and frecuency measurement using parallel port?

My experiences with parallel ports have never been good. You'll probably spend more time trying to get this to work than it is worth. I would recommend just buying a board that is built to do it. A good place to start would be looking at NI's counter boards.

I thank for infinitely its advice to him. But I must work with the parallel port because one is a didactic project and do not have average acquiring the acquisition boards.
