How can I open an edf file containing a header and a 2d array of intensity data?

Hi,

I'm working on a scriptt for proccessing x-ray scattering data collected at ESRF. I've tried installing the dataplugin for EDF and the biomedical workbench so that I can convert the files to TDMS format, but neither of these routes has allowed me to access the data. Can anyone offer any help on how to about solving this problem please?
