How can I manipulate the serial port of a PC at register level under Windows 2000

I am using the serial port of the PC with LabView as I/O port register level with two input lines(CTS & DSR) and two output lines (DTR & RTS) under W 95/98/ME with no problem. I need to migrate to W2000 and I do not find any way to do it. I have tried the AccesHW library provided by NI but it does not work neighet the new inport/outport functions provided in LabView 7.0

Hi,
Have you tried to use NI-VISA property node to control different Modem lines?
I mean that if you use NI-VISA to communicate with COM port you can create property node of your "VISA Recource control" corresponding to port. Then create its property node and go to "Properties->Modem Line settings". This allows you to control the states of CTS, DCD, DTR, DSR, RI and RTS lines.
I used it under win2000 without any problems.

Good luck.

Hello,

It works! I had never seen this function before.
This finally will allow me to migrate my computers to W2K.

Thanks very much!
