One sure way is to get a DMM and hook it to the output, then read the DMM programatically. If you have several channels to monitor, you could use an AI and hook up the inputs to the AO outputs, then read each channel, or use a switch and switch the DMM to each channel. That is the only way to know the actual output. I don't think the AO has any self monitoring feature.
