There are too icons in the left hand side of each post as shown.  One for 'Kudos' and other for 'Accepted solution'.  check the Accepted Solution ICON against the answer you wish to mark as accepted.

Thanks for taking efforts to mark a solution as accepted.

There is only one icon "Kudos!" in my right hand side of every post.

No other icon is there in my window.  In my left hand side it shows the information regarding the guy who posted.

Both icons are on the actually on the right side.  The solutions icon should look like this right below the yellow kudoes icon.

What browser are you using?

Since you are the original poster of the message thread, you should be able to mark any reply as the solution.

If you don't have the icon, look under the options menu on the upper right hand side of the message for "Mark as Accepted Solution"
