Help with using .NET controls

Solved!
Go to solution

I am trying to load a custom .NET control to use within LabVIEW. When I go to load the .DLL, it gives me the following error: "An error occured while saving the .NET Control [name of the control]." I am following the steps in http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361H-01/lvhowto/creating_dotnet_subpalette/. I have built the control with the target framework of .NET 2.0, and registered it in the GAC. I can add things from System.Windows.Forms just fine though, like a button.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Dillon Welch

Why are you following that? Are you actually trying to create your own palette, or simply use the control on a front panel? To use the control create a .NET container on the front panel, then right-click on the container and select "Insert .NET Control".
