Help with Elapsed Time Sub VI

Greetings,

I have LabVIEW 8.0 and I am trying to use the Elapsed Time function to run three loops with the following times: 1 s, 1.5s, and 2 s. I have got two questions. First, niether function seem to be indicating when the correct time has elapsed -- they all seem to be running longer. Any ideas as to why? Second, yesterday the program was running fine but today whenever I try to run it a large green arrow appears over the function and it does not run, does anyone know what is happening?

Thanks,
Taylor

I am not sure what is causing the change, I imagine we will need to see your code to help.

However, if this is the same issue you had posted about earlier, you may be better off sticking to that thread.  If its a new issue, you are correct to have started a new thread.

Attach your VIs and we can see if there is a reason they seem to take so long.  1 idea is that you have highlight execution on, thus the big arow you see.

Taylor,

I just tried placing an Elapsed Time Express VI in a while loop connecting the "Time has Elapsed" boolean output to the while loop stop condition. Also when I placed this Express VI I selected that it should auto reset after it reached my time condition (You could also wire in a true constant to the Auto Reset input terminal). When I ran this for a specific target time it stopped at the appropriate time (within 4.26mS). Try following these steps when you make your loops and let me know if you have anymore questions.

Thanks,

Jonah,

Thanks. I forgot to set the automatic reset to true. I still have a problem as it still will not run. It gets to the first loop and stalls. I am attaching the code. It is not complete as of yet.

Taylor

PS - If you do fix it and send it back, please send it in LabVIEW 8.0.
