Help in AO.max error

Hi!

I am doing a work that uses Cyclic Voltammetry technics. I am trying to use the example from this page "Measuring Cyclic Voltammetry for DAQmx" with a NI USB-6009 card and NI DAQmx drivers.

The problem is that, when I try to run the file appears this error:

Error -200077 occurred at DAQmx Write (Analog DBL 1Chan 1Samp).vi:2

Possible reason(s):

Requested value is not a supported value for this property.

Property: AO.Max
You Have Requested:  10,000000
Valid Values Begin with:  0,000000
Valid Values End with:  5,000000

Channel Name: Dev1/ao0

Task Name: _unnamedTask<5>


Can anyone help me, because I am an rookie user of LabView 8.0!

Hello,

As you can read in DAQmx error message, you command a voltage that your module cannot generate (see the documentation of the USB-6009, in Specifications >> Analog Output). The range of analog output on this module is 0 to 5V.

Hi all,

 

I am trying to do a loop to produce a sqaure pulse onto USB 6009 and i am getting exactly the same error.

but i am specifying the voltage between 0 and 5 . I have tried between 0 and 1 but i am stil getting the same error.

 

Any ideas?

Hello,

You've copied below an error message explaining that you've requested to write 10V. Check the way you indicates this value in your code.

Hello, I've got the same error and didn't find any answer in your replies, because the data I'm giving to the vi is NOT above 5V - It's actually 0V. And still the message is the same. I'll post the vi for an explanation.

Hi!

The solution that I found for my problem was to define the maximum and the minimum value on the VI that creates the channel, in which you write after. So try to wire constants of 0 for the minimum and 5 for the maximum and see if the problem persists.
