HDF5 and LabVIEW

Hi all.   What toolkits and capabilities exist for LabVIEW to write, save  and /or  stream   HDF5  format data ?

National Instruments does not officially support HDF5.  However, the following toolkits are available:

  1. A toolkit released in 2003, supporting only HDF5 1.4.4 is available from National Instruments here.
  2. A somewhat newer toolkit is available from Jason Sommerville (Mechanical Engineering at Michigan Tech) here.

Tomi Maila at ExpressionFlow wrote a library awhile back, but I have not seen a reference to it in awhile.

If you suggest LabVIEW support HDF5 in the LabVIEW Idea Exchange, I would be happy to vote for it.

Hi LL Rat,

I was looking for your idea on the idea exchange to lend my strong support to it but couldn't find it.  You posted it on ni.com/ideas??
