Get OPC Server Status

Hello All,

  Developing an application that uses an OPC Server.  Would like to get the status of the server, along with any errors or failures into my Labview GUI.  Not sure how to accomplish this.  Shared variables from server?  Application reference? Data Socket?  Please advise.  Thanks in Advance.

What OPC server are you using?  Is this an NI OPC server or a different server?

  Thanks for checking in. Yes that is correct, using NI OPC Server 2013, and Labview 2013.

I went to the OPC help file on my computer (Start – All Programs – National Instruments – OPC Servers 2013). It doesn't look like you can programmatically get server status information. From LabVIEW, you can read any tags that the server is hosting. Perhaps there are OPC internal tags that can be read that contain information you would find useful.
