Hello there,
I have a peculiar setup. I need to connect our PC with a measurement software (master) to a PC with a LabVIEW program (slave) via a profinet network.
For this, I need the GSD or GSDML file, so that our side sees the LabVIEW-PC as slave.
Is it possible to generate this File with the LabVIEW Software? If not, how would you guys tackle this problem?
Furthermore, how can I give the LabVIEW-PC a PNIO-Device name?
Thank you very much in advance for your help and suggestions.

I did a search for "GSDML LabVIEW", and found a number of "hits". As I know nothing about GSDML or profinet, I can't judge if any of this is useful, but I did see mention of connecting a cRIO to such a network, so there is some history ...

Hi,
the files are hardware/slave specific and LabVIEW does not have a function as far as I know that can create those files (how should LabVIEW know the information?).
Have a look here for information about GSD(ML) files. You can download some there or from the manufacturer of your device.
