GPIB communication problem. Cannot find the name of the instrument in MAX (devices and Interfaces)

Hello,

I am new user of Labview. Currently working on a project ,I am finding problems to communicate with GPIB instruments.I am using AQ-6315 optical spectrum analyzer and ITC 502 Laser diode combi controller and both are connected with GPIB ports. Hardware connection seems to be fine. I think it is a software problem. As I am unable to get names on Devices and Interfaces in MAX . At present it shows, Network devices and no visa resources found.I have attachment the current screenshot.

Kindly help me to get through it.

Thank you.

If you are using an NI GPIB adapter, then you need to install NI 488.2.

In stall NI-488.2, then either plug your USB-GPIB-HS in or install your PCI GPIB card.  Once you've done that, then your pc should detect the device and install the appropriate drivers for the hardware.  Then connect your instruments and power them on..  Then open NI-MAX and your GPIB interface should be listed.  From there you can click on it, then do a search for instruments if they aren't detected automatically.
