GPIB Card Installation problems

I use the GPIB interface for communication with special chemical
analytical devices. I installed several GPIB cards without any problem
on WinNT and Win2000 systems. Now, i have a new double processor
(933)computer with Win2000.
After installation of Software, installing the hardware and reboot,
the Getting Started Wizard from NI came up. The tests for hadrware and
software presence were passed. The last check: the sequentially check
failed. I have no more ideas why this check fails. I tried older
software versions 1.60 but the same problems . I checked the card on
other computers without any problems.

Does anyone have some ideas?

Hello Axel,

Before running the tests, make sure there are not cables attached to the board. When the board fails the "Sequentially Verified" test, you can double click on the interface and find out why it failed. It could be caused by a resource conflict. If you have a network card installed, disable it and see if that makes a difference.

If this does not help, contact National Instruments either by phone or email by going to www.ni.com/ask.

Good Luck,
