Frozen Elapsed Time

Greetings,

Whenever I try to run my program I get the attached screen shot and my program freezes. I have tried inserting a new Elapsed Time function and it still does the same thing. Any ideas?

What elapsed time have you set in the Elapsed Time express vi?  Remember that it uses seconds as the unit and not milliseconds.

I have three. There times are 1 s, 1.5 s, and 2 s.

You might open a blank vi, place Elapsed Time in a while loop and verify you can run that properly first.  That way you know it's not some sort of LV library problem

It does not work in a new VI either. Now what do I do?

What version of LV are you running and is this a new installation or have you recently installed and updates/new releases

I have LabVIEW 8.0. I installed it about 2 weeks ago. What is weird is that it was working 2 days ago and then I don't know what happened.

One other thing you can do, given that this is an Express VI. Right click on it and select Open Front Panel. This will turn it into a real VI that you can at least open and troubleshoot.

Thanks Mike but I do not feel comfortable enough in LabVIEW yet to try something like that.

You cannot really mess anything up doing that. Still, if you're not very familiar with LabVIEW, you might not see anything unusual.

Something is wrong with your installation. That VI got corrupted but it is hard to imagine how. Maybe try to scan your disk for errors.

Have you tried repairing the installation? How about an uninstall/reinstall?
