Frontpanel resizing / Splitter repositioning

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello LV World,

I tried with a simple test VI to set the positions of splitters so that they keep their reference postion while the frontpanel size changes.

It works "so far" when the Panel size in modified, but with very bad Performance. And there's a strange behaviours while using the maximize button....

Probably I'm doing very wrong, if someone has good idea please let me know...Thanks in advance!!

The VI in the annex is done with LV2015

Hi EMG,

have you tried to enable the automatic splitter sizing?

When I set the vertical splitters to "size proportionally" they all move nicely when I resize the window. No need to fiddle with several property nodes!

(Your example is flawed: I got several error messages when resizing because of invalid splitter positions…)

Best regards,
GerdW

Hi GerdW,

thanks for your pretty fast answer.

You're rigth, another point is that the VI reports several Errors with invalid splitter positon. Right now I ingnored that (have to take care later on of cause).

Where can I set the "size proportinally" Option at spillters!?

Kind regards!

Right-click splitter -> Splitter Sizing -> Splitter Sizes Proportionally.

You might also want to check Scale Object While Resizing for each pane, so the front panel controls inside the pane don't suddenly change size. Right-click the splitter -> Left/Right Pane -> Pane Sizing -> Scale Object While Resizing.
