It turns out to have nothing to do with LabVIEW. I left a word window open and when I logged back in it was on the other window.
Sorry for wasting everyone's time. I just noticed this with my program and because I do have some window movement functionality in my code I went down the rabbit hole.
I think that changing the power & sleep options helps but will need to give it some time to be sure.
