Force USB Device Discovery

Hello list,

We've got three USB DIO boards (not NI) installed in a test system.

Sometimes when the PC boots, it doesn't find all of them.  They are all on seperate USB PCI controller cards, so it's not a hub issue.

Is there a way to force the OS (Windows XP) to go out and try to discover new devices?

Using LV 8.2.

Thanks,

Mike

Hello,

The only suggestion I have found is to update your USB drivers to any later versions.

It is one thing you can try. The devcon tool from microsoft. You may use it from Labview with the system exec.vi. Or start it after windows has booted up

Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
(Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)

Thanks for the link...we'll try it.

Problem is that it only happens once in a while, and we can't seam to make it happen.
