Flow Diagrams for LabView Projects

What techniques should I follow to develop a flow diagram for one of my labview projects?

What an open ended question! I could find no documents that I thought would answer your question. You might find them useful however:

You can also look at the example programs provided with LabView.

I use Microsoft Visio and the version I have includes flowcharting symbols. The one I use most often is their dataflow shapes. You might want to do a web search for Yourdan or Gane/Sarson notation.
