Finding the ovality of a circle/ellipse

I am developing an application in Labview 5.1 where I have many X,Y coordinates
that represents an ellipse or a circle. I need a routine that fits these
data and find the ovality of this figure and its center. So I need the a,b,
xo and yo. If the figure is a circle the a=b.
Can anybody help me?
