Once a new version of LabVIEW is released you really have to be a multi-thousend LabVIEW development seats site to get NI to backport a certain fix to an older LabVIEW version. So basically no, chances that this would happen are about as big as that the earth ceases to exist tomorrow.

Now that I think through the process.... yes, that makes sense... why would NI release a LV 7.2 if they've released LV 8.

I guess it's still possible that Apple could release a 10.4.7 with a fix that would affect LV 7.x

Not really being sure what the "bug" is that cause this I can't say much. It could be also that it is a documented change in behaviour somewhere for whatever reasons and then a fix is unlikely. Also not sure how important that is to Apple as long as not about every application under Mac OS X is affected. LabVIEW is to Apple probably as important as is Apple to NI which in comparison to 10 years ago and earlier is not so much.
