Failure in "funcmenu.c" line 2949 when starting the program for the first time

I need to use this version (4.1) of LabView because they are using it in production. Any updates to newer versions are out of the question. I reinstalled the program a few times already. It worked for some of then, but consenquently it crashed. I'm running Win 98, and this version is for win95 and NT, any correlation???

This is when you install the LabVIEW Development Environment? Not many people run version 4.1 any more, so this would be tough to troubleshoot. It certainly could be the OS. Do you have the installer on CD? If so, try copying the CD to your hard drive and installing from there. If it's on floppy disks, you can copy those to the hard drive. You may need to fully clean the machine and then try installing.
