Hi There, I believe it is not necessary to have any hardware to make an FPGA project run, we can make use of Development Computer. If that is true, how do I simulate input of say a bit stream to the FPGA vi? Is there any link where there are simple projects that can help in getting started with FPGA module? Thanks in advance

You can definitely simulate FPGA hardware on your computer. Just design your FPGA project in the normal way and choose the hardware that are given as options. Here is a link that should get you started:
