FPGA Heater Controller - examples?

I want to create a multi-channel heater/temperature controller with my sbRIO-9631 + 9213 (Thermocouple) module.

Before I start on this, does anyone know if this has already been coded and posted somewhere?  Essentially I want to create a PID controller + overheat safety circuit (which will control a mechanical relay).
