The attached vi is a subVI from CLD exam boiler example. Why the following FGV subvi can be use in the other program without problem, but it cannot run on its own. When it runs own itself , it can do Open File action, but can't do Write Log Data and Close File action afterwards. It will have code 1 error when I tried to run Write Log Data and Close File after I run Open File. I understand that error code 1 happens when you lost the reference. However, Is that an explanation why it cannot run on itself but it is okay to run as subvi in the other vi?
