Executing the SQP Algorithm - Control Design and Simulation Module - fit parameter simulation data to experimental data

Hi!

I woul like to set 2 questions:

  1.  In the code "Optimization and Calibration with Simulation - Calculate Parameter.vi" it is compared with the mass-spring models - how could we fit the simulation parameters to the data series and to estimate "the best fit spring or damper constant".

  2.  In the code "Optimization and Calibration with Simulation - Calculate Parameter.vi" are also objective function, which contains possibilities for certain (ine)eqalities. How to use it in case we have function parameters of the spring or damper functions. optim-calibration-sim-fig-2.JPG
  3. I would like to achieve same result as in the fitting "Parameter Fitting LM.vi", where is a set an equation with the model coefficients -yellow frame.

Thanks!

Vasco

Hi Vasco!

Sorry for the late reply.

I'm not sure if I understand your problem well enough, so please help me, so I can help you.

First of all, which version of LabVIEW are you using?

In the 1st question, do you mean, that you would like to change the "Optimization with Simulation - Simulate Spring with noise.vi"  to estimate the damper constant?

If yes, you just have to open the VI and right click on the "damped-mass-spring.vi" and choose "open subsystem".

If not, please try to explain what would you like to change on the program to estimate the damper constant.

In the 2nd question you are talking about the "objective funciton". Where did you find this VI exactly? Is it in the "Constrained Nonlinear Optimization.vi"?

Thanks in advance, I hope I can help you to solve this issue.
