Executeable VI's

I have inherited a labVIEW app that has been converted into an executeable application. Can I "reverse" engineer the application to make changes? Or, do I need the un-executeable file to make changes?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Ivan Cyr

You need the original source VIs.

Making an executable removes all diagrams and also removes the front panel of most subVIs. The code cannot be recovered without diagram.
