Eval Multi-Variable Array format error

I've noticed that if the Formula control, in Eval Multi-Variable Array.vi, contains a formatted number, like 1.6E+3, the vi will give an error. If, on the other hand, that number was not formatted, like 16000, the vi works fine. This is a LV 6.1 version on Eval Multi-Variable Array.vi. Is this a known bug, or am I using the vi incorrectly?

Hi Jim,

I apologize for the extremely late reply. I was unable to locate the Eval Multi-Variable Array.vi example you were mentioning, but I tried this simple script:

x = 1.6E+3;
y = x + 5;

with x as an input and y as an output. Could you attach the VI in question with a reproduction of the error? Thanks.
