Error with Write to Measurement File express VI

Hi everyone,

whenever I try to add the express VIs Write (or Read) Measurement File, I receive this error:

Error loading "lvStorage.dll".

The device is not ready.

And it doesn't go away, forcing me to kill the whole process. I couldn't find a solution online. Any ideas?

I would try a repear install of LabVIEW.

By the way, if you want to "go pro", you should not use Express VIs for data management. Use proper low level File VIs (for example TDMS files are super useful)...

I second what Blokk said. 

You should avoid the "Express" vi's at all costs. These vi's were developed for those half day LabVIEW Sales Pitches Seminars to show how fast you can "just throw something together" with LabVIEW.

But these vi's lack the customization and flexibility that is often needed in a "real" program.

Plus IMHO they teach bad programming because you are working with a "magic box" instead knowing exactly how and why your program works the way it does.
