I have inherited a LabVIEW 7.1 project that must be upgraded to a more recent version of LabVIEW. I have chose 2011.
I am trying to use the recommended method of "Tools->Convert Build Scrip..." but it is not working. I'm getting a message along the lines of
The build was unsuccessful
Possible reasons
Invoke Node in AB_Convert_Add_Source.vi-
AB_Convert_Build_Script.vi -
BuildMonitor_ImportBuildScript.vi -
BuildMonitor_Global_OnCommand.vi-
BuildMonitor_Global_OnCommand.vi.ProxyCaller-
Any knowledge out there?

Hi Ottomatic,
Could you post a screenshot of the exact error you are receiving?
Some of the information in our database indicates that errors similar to the ones you have mentioned are related to the inclusion of custom icons (.ico) files in an application build. Are any such files included?

And yes, my 7.1 project does contain a custom icon.

Removing the custom icon from the 7.1 project corrected the issue. Thank-you so much.

You're welcome! Glad I could help out.
Would it be possible for you to post the project here so that I can create a report of this particular error and submit it to R&D's database? If the project is too large/proprietary, I understand, but if we can reproduce this error at NI, then we can work on eliminating this bug from future Labview releases.

Sorry, I am not able to share this project.
I can try and replicate the issue in a new project and send you that.

I was unable to replicate it on my end, so if you have the time, it would be useful. If not, that's ok; I'm still glad we could get you up and running!
