This error occured as we were trying to install NI-DAQmx 7.4 on a Windows 2000 system with LabVIEW 7.1. Because of the error, the computer and its operating system were installed completely new, this time Windows XP Service Pack 2. After a successful installation of LabVIEW 7.1 with the standard installation settings and NI-DAQ 7.2, we tried again to install NI-DAQmx 7.4. Then the above written error occured again. The computer is a Pentium III 1,2 GHz system.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Best regards from Germany,
Manuel

There is a chance that you have received a bad driver CD. Please download NI-DAQmx 7.5 or 8.0 and run this installer. I would recommend using NI-DAQmx 8.0 but as it doesn't support some older devices anymore 7.5 might be a better option for you, depending which hardware you use. Please refer to the corresponding readme files.
