Error 8 at Open File

I'm sure this is quite simple but I have a File permission error at my Write Characters to File.vi. Can anyone tell me what is causing this? Thank you for your time.

I couldn't run your VI, so there is some guessing:
In frame 2, the path seems to be to a folder and not a file. That is probably your problem.
Other options I can think of include the file already being open or being read only.
