Error 8 at Open File

My file name is correct and my path is correct but I still get an Error 8 occured at Open File. It says I have a File permission error. I'm using the Open/Create/Replace File.vi. I have the file path, function and default name wired in. The function is set to Create or Replace. Can anyone help? I appreciate your time.

Have you checked the permissions of the directory where you are creating or replacing the file? What OS are you using?

Also, make sure the file isn't open by another program and use the file info VI to make sure you have the right path.
