Driver Filtering, driver chain monification, or kernel modifications from the LabView run-time environment

Hi,

We are encoutering significant performance problems when performing I/O via a USB device when running from within LabView as well as from an executable built from LabView.

Does LabView install any filter drivers or do any other type of modification to the USB driver chain when it is running? If not the USB driver chain does it make any other driver or kernel-level changes to the Win32 process when it is running?

Hi Paul,

I am not aware of any changes made to the driver.  What are the details of your system, and what are the performance problems you are seeing?  Are you using NI-VISA to communicate with your USB device?  If so, you may find the USB Instrument Control Tutorial to be a useful reference.
