Does anyone have GIF reading/writing tools to share?

Hi all,
Searched this forum and found many queries re: GIFs, but no (free) tools.  Tried to follow a [broken] link at Unisys re: GIF legalities.  One of US is selling a Toolbox.
I guess NI can't distribute GIF tools with LabVIEW because of a patent, but would a tool developed by one of us, and shared freely here, be Kosher?

Cheers.

I don't know about reading (maybe G Toolbox?), but writing can be done with a built-in VI found at vi.lib\picture\gif.llb which doesn't appear in the palettes. It doesn't seem to support any GIF options, though.

Thanks, tst! Smiley Happy
Pretty sneaky not including "Write GIF.vi" on the "Graphics Formats" palette - nice call.  It's got the same style icon and image-data typedef.  Excellent.
I found an old post of yours and chased down some George Zou VIs, but he's asking 30 clams for the tools!
In the spirit of this forum, thought I might write what's needed - at least the missing GIF stuff.   ... need it to animate my icon Smiley Wink

Cheers.
