Hi all,

How I can do a local copy of the NI repo for an offline cRIO ?

My entire network are disconnect from the web, I would like use something like RSync to create a local copy of the NI repo. Is that possible ?

Do you mean the software set installed on the cRIO? These are installed with the appropriate version of the CompactRIO / RIO drivers so do not require an internet connection.

You can also use the Replication and Deployment Utility (RAD) to create an image of a cRIO and then transfer this to another cRIO (of the same type). http://www.ni.com/example/30986/en/

Apologies - I didn't see you were talking about a Linux RT cRIO and the Linux Packages. I'm not too familiar, but it should be possible to get the package files manually (e.g. downloading them yourself e.g. from one of the feeds which you can browse: http://download.ni.com/ni-linux-rt/feeds/2014/) and then installing them manually (e.g. from a memory stick).

Hi,

I know it's possible to download it, but I don't want to lost my time in the hell of dependency tree.

For exemple under Fedora, when I need a local repo, I copy the entire DVD and the RPM fusion repository on the www directory of apache.

Then all computers use this local repo. I have to change the address of the repo in yum.

I would like do the same with the NI repos for cRIO.

Now with my cRIO, which I not familiar with the GNU/Linux inside, where I can change the address of the repo ?

Or where I can find a documentation of the package manager ?

I have to install NTP package on my cRIO. I think I have to use this repo : http://download.ni.com/ni-linux-rt/feeds/2015/arm/ipk/

Regards.

There's a guide to many of the steps of how to use/install packages here: https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-36980

There's also some information on changing the default repository address here: https://decibel.ni.com/content/message/133343

It uses opkg, so you can probably look up to see if there is a way to clone a repository.

I will do a wget of NI repo's and add an alias in my dns server. Like this download.ni.com will point on my local server. It will be transparent for the cRIO.

NI has released a downloaded local repo. See Installing Software to Offline NI Linux Real-Time Targets
