Distributing applications using DataSocket

Distributing executables built in LabVIEW 5.1 to machines without LabVIEW
requires that one
include the LabVIEW runtime engine. Instead of including the whole runtime
installation set in
the package delivered to the clients however - I prefer the available (but
not much documented) option of simply including the lvrt.dll file in a
single software installation set.

However, now we´ve started using DataSocket - and thus both the aquisition
software and the client software now require not only the runtime engine but
also the datasocket package from NatInst to be installed in order for the
communication to work. So my question is this - is there an optional way to
get the datasocket client and aquisition software to w
ork without including
all the 6 datasocket installation disks, and if so - what are the files
(dll´s or whatever) that needs to be included and where do they go...(and
are there some files that can be skipped depending on what kind of
operations the software does?).
