Hey all. Just thought I would pop in on the discussion and let everyone know that we have an incredible DevZone document on localizing your program to different languages here. Take a look over it. I think most of what everyone here is included, but it is still an interesting read to see all the things you can actually do. Hope that helps!!!

Hey everyone. I was looking at the discussion and decided to do some research on my own and found an incredible DevZone document that really goes into all the details of localizing a project for other languages. Take a look at it if you have some time here. I think everything said so far is included, however, there is a decent amount of information on how to do this. Hope this helps!!

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the reply.
I had not replaced the font property, because i didnt know what to change it with. I just know the encoding of my chinese font, which is big5. but which font is it exactly i dont know. Anyways, ill try the solutions given by you. One more thing- if changing the language settings to chinese some programs will crash, is the damage permanent?

Regards,
Pavitra

the damage is not permanent. once you set the regional back to previous setting, everything should work properly.

for the font name, you could try "MingLiu" or "SimSun", which are shipped with windows XP normally (it is installed when you switch the regional settings).
