Digital Tacho with USB-6009

Hello,

I'm trying to use the USB-6009 and a 9233 in a USB chassis for an Order Analysis program.

Results were unsatisfactory with an analog tacho into the 6009 (buffer overflows if rate set too high etc...) so I would like to use the counter instead but I'm having trouble figuring out how to do this.

This is what I've got so far in my test program but the speed simply increments upwards of 500M or so.

The DAQ Assistant is configured as follows:

Type = CountEdges

Active Edge = Falling

Direction = Up

Initail Count = 0

Input Terminal = PFI0

Acq Mode = 1 Sample (On Demand)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey,

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "the speed simply increments upwards of 500M" but I would recommend you take a look at the example VI titled Even Angle Reference Signal Processing (Digital Tacho, DAQmx).vi.  It is located in the LabVIEW example finder (Help»Find Examples...)  under Toolkits and Modules»Sound and Vibration»Analyzing and Processing Signals»Order Analysis
