Different types of Waveform Graph

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi.

I'm relatively newbie to Labview.

Following this tutorial: http://download.ni.com/evaluation/academic/labview_campus_workshop_slides.pdf I've founded a very useful WaveForm Graph that plot Power in db Vs Frequency in Hz.

When I try to use this type of WaveForm Graph  in a new VI, I only can found a type that plot Amplitude vs Time and I can't change it to the desidered Power in db Vs Frequency Graph in any way.

I'm going crazy.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance

Just click on the words and edit them.  They are just labels on the graph.

Hi

Thanks for your reply

Now is much clear.

But why the different icons in the block diagram for the the waveform graph?

One is showing the terminal in Icon mode.  The other showing it in non-icon mode.  (I prefer the smaller non-icon mode.)

Also, the color of the terminal depends on what type of wire was last connected to it:

  • brown, waveform
  • orange, array of floats
  • blue, that dynamic data type
  • (also possible, but uncommon a blue for an array of integers)
